The Wild Bard is a flute player who died eons ago. He tells Baldewin, he used to live in Shadetale when the Stone Gods still roamed the earth (giving a clue about how old shadetale is). The Wolf encounters him in the Spirit World, and gives him his flute to play, which not only lifts his spirits, but also allows the Wolf to continue forward.
